Lightening DOES affect your computer!

My computer is deader n a doorknob! I was on it this morning writing a letter to my friend, when the power suddenly flicked off! When the power came back on right away, my computer would not start!

Apparently with the surge protectors, you need like 2400 joules one for it to be effective. We have had one of those ol cheapo ones. The really weird part is that mine was the only one affected. The other's came right back on. The local pc guru told me it could be the power supply that fried. We will take it in later on to get it checked on.

Luckily I still have my daughter's pc, one that I got from walmart (HP's the bestest!!!) a while back, that is a great standby! So I won't have total withdrawals. I won't be doing the sims stuff for a while, as her computer needs lots of updates and stuff, and not as much room on hers as on my former one (the one that makes a pretty good coaster right now)

See you in the funny papers! No, really, I will be on here to keep this updated, just not doing more sims for now....and I had just finished one for the friend I was writing to this morning!!!! Bumper, Man!
