Wonderful News On Josh!!!

Then there comes along a situation you have NO control over. Okay, so maybe SEVERAL at ONCE!!!

One I will discuss:

Two weeks ago my nephew was doing something called "Car Surfing" where the kid 'rides the wave' atop a moving Car!!!!

Josh lost the 'game' and fell off the car top, hit his head severely, and has been in the hospital ever since. That first night found us all around the waiting room, hoping we wouldn't lose our boy. All our kids basically grew up together, hanging out and playing together. So we've got some close kids here.

Now each of them is hoping that we won't lose one of them.

The back of his skull was crushed, but other than that it's kind of confusing to keep up with. I can't afford to be at the hospital every day, live out of town and have to depend on their updates. But the gist of it is that after having been in NICU for almost two weeks, he's been moved to a rehabilitation center. I guess that's for therapy so his body doesn't go all spagetti like.

Now he has an infection, and has been put in a closed room. Anyone who is susceptible to bronchitis can't go in there.

There have been a lot of prayer requests, and many people all over have been lending us theirs. We appreciate this so much.

Some Good news, on Josh!

He has been moved from hospital to two others, the second one wasn't caring for him well enuff- and wasn't logging in all the stuff he was actually doing.....the third==well we have our fingers crossed!

Josh, still in the coma, but for some reason able to react to 'commands' can "say" yes by sticking out his tongue, and "no" is blinking his eyes at you. He also made a HUGE SMILE for us when his sister asked him to! Progress!

Now for some awesome news!!!

Josh has come HOME!!!

He still has a ways to go, but now he doesn't have to spend all his time in a hospital room....He can communicate with all of us, he understands us and can tell us he loves us, can visit with us pretty well. He is starting to walk, with help. The tubes are gone from his throat, and his throat is stretching a bit, so soon he won't need to have tubes that go to his tummy!
