| Just had to share this with you!
This girl on myspace sends me a message, asking me if I remember a pair of tennis shoes with "kiss me you fool" written on them, in 1979. Nope, didn't ring a bell with me, but her last name sounded familiar. She sends me another letter that says they are looking for a Penny Garner from Fruitland, Idaho way back in 1979. Her dad has been talking about her, and looking for her for a long time. And maybe I remembered him? Bob Vance. .....HOOOOOOBOY did I remember him!!!!! He was my first boyfriend, my first love, when I was 14 years old! I really really cared about this guy, and after a HUGE incident I only saw him once a couple years later. She said if I wanted to get in touch with him he lived in Grand View, Idaho; 45 miles away from me. To look him up in the phone book and give him a call if I wanted. I did....
I saw his name in the phone book, called it....it was his son. After a bit of talking I got the number, and called...
You would not believe it. I got to talk to him for about two hours that night, 2 more the next night, and the next day when he had the day off he came over to spend the day with me! Oh it was wonderful! We straightened a lot of the mess out, recalled a lot of memories, and before too long it was time for him to leave for home.
I met this guy when we were 14, and he was SOOOOO SHY!!!! The most he did back then was hold hands when we were at the skating rink where we met, and the movies-among all our buddies. We were soo shy that I didn't get that kiss until later about age 18, but then he was gone again. he had this beautiful blond hair and these big beautiful blue eyes that just melted my heart. In seeing him again he did it to me all over again! The outside may be a bit older, but the inside person is still the one I fell in love with when we were 14 years old! And apparently he feels the same way I do!

| Okay, so I really have to add that Bob was not the only one who was a bashful person in all this! Being that young, I was also very shy as well. We would talk like normal kids would, but we were too shy to get to the personal stuff.
We were also always surrounded by all our buddies, and we knew they would tease us unmercifully if we even made a move like that. So I guess we suffered in silence.
Okay, so NOW I have gotten my darling fellow back; only now we're a bit older and hopefully wiser. Life has not been very kind to either of us-neither of us were very lucky in our trials at love. Perhaps this was God's way of us learning lessons, or learning to appreciate things more this way. And HE brought us back together when He decided we'd learned enough, suffered enough, and maybe learned what all we were supposed to learn in this life----just so he could finally bring us full circle back together.
We have spent our weekends since that first meeting, together, and when we're apart it feels (to me, and perhaps to him as well) as if a part of me is missing---the other half of me. The word Soulmate comes to mind in this.
There is music again, and songs I flinched at before have suddenly become wonderful again. Life is finally good for me, and I look forward to seeing my fellow again.
