hehe - hi :)

Never mind - forums hiccup from time to time, maybe it had to restore a backup and my post was before then :) never mind :) I run a forum for the guild i run in WoW and once deleted a whole forum section - posts and all :S lol

Ok - cant remember what i posted before but i'll try again :P

My name is Emma and i used to be a sims 2 addict lol.

I am a creator of some custom recolours (just search dollface on saphirre sims to find me) and wrote one of the career building tutorials on mts2 under my username there (emma_barrett),

A year or so ago i left sims 2 after a PC disaster and everything i'd made was lost, i left using Windows OS altogether tbh and installed linux - i never got around to making the sims 2 work on it and became hopelessly addicted to world of warcraft - i now have a guild there to run which takes a lot of my time.

I missed my little simmies though and recently i build a new pc which is linux / windows duel boot so at last i have sims again :D
I have all expansion packs upto seasons (that was when i left) and can hopefully answer any questions people may have upto that point - and if i cant i'm happy to do the research and learn something new myself :D

Not much else to say about me really :) I'm a writer who's just finished my first novel and am now on the tedious grind of finding a good agent to get it published, to fund this i work part-time in a shop as a counter girl lol. i have a deep interest in history (i write historical romance/ horror) as well as the supernatural :)
I get called goth for my strange dress sense but am not living that lifestyle.
I am 25 and maried with a 9 yearold stepdaughter who is my world :)

(oh yeah - and i tend to ramble lol, ask my old friend skye :P ))

And don't we all tend to 'ramble on' === just look at all my posts. I'm guilty of it and I can't seem to stop myself! (help-I'm talking and I can't shut up-to quote Skye---who does pretty much the same thing)

It must have done what you said, cos I just love seeing all these new folks arriving almost daily, and I would never shut out someone. I have seen quite a few who need a swift kick in the rump once in a while, though. Those are few in my circle, so I leave them to their own misery. I have no time for their constant most of the time, so I stick to the fun side, mostly.

It's a good thing we do, cos eventually we get everything explained. You get information you needed, plus usually some great tips as an added 'bonus' in there!

So was the pc disaster--did it have anything to do with the securom we've all discussed til we're in tears around here? I hope not. Neither Skye nor I can get a hang on that sucker--that is, get it out of the computers.

I'm a gothic kind of gal. I love black, enjoy horror movies, and love stories with vamps, weres' and all those 'dark' things that go bump in the night.....

You sound like a pretty cool chick to have around! I love it!

Hehehe, I messed up my myspace somehow, and have just gotten my account to working again. So now it's time to play catch up with that! And try to get all my information in there once more!

(tonight I have to get another email for my daughter--she opened her IM on my ex's computer, and now can't use her IM cos he didn't turn it off! Hopefully I can get everything fixed on that so she can use it, and he can't. he's such a dork sometimes! lol )

Update: well there we go - my first simmie in over a year went up on saphirre last night O.O
in all honesty i think the dress on her is one of the best i've ever done lol - represed creativity lol ... anyway - let me know if i'm still on form

a little side note.......... I always give the women in my life a nickname, years ago, I nicknamed one "dollface", she loved it..... 'Oh I love it when you call me that"

I on the other hand, have always been just good 'ole "Slim"

Doll, you did a wonderful job on that sim!!!! I loved her! And that dress was the bestest!!! Oh my gosh it was so excellent!

(I know other folks rant to give support, but I am truely amazed at the wonderful works the creators are able to make with these things!)

Hehe slim - my username is one i've kept for years lol - i used to play a RP vampire game - doll was my char (she was completely mad lol) - most folks on the net just call me Ems :) (or griss - but thats a whole different story lol)

I think it is very excellent! In fact, when I saw it, that was when I decided we ought to do the Halloween theme. It was so gothic, and elegant. Such attention to detail is 'very cool' to quote the hippy gal!
